The IAMS Advanced Nutrition cat dry food with ocean fish does not have to be soaked before consumption by a kitten. Some cats prefer a softer consistency or require more hydration. In this case, soaking the dry food can make sense.
While most cats appear fully grown by the time, they are six months old, they are still kittens physically. Their bones are gaining stability and their bodies are taking shape. Kittens should not be switched to adult cat food until they are 12 months old to provide them with an optimal supply of nutrients. Keep in mind that big cat breeds have a longer growing phase. Kitten food should be given until the cat is fully grown.
